We started the trip in Long lake. My friend Pat came from Ray Brook and met me at my residence. It was a blue bird day, in late May, temperature in the high 40's. We decided to head towards Glens Falls, figuring the weather would be warmer. We stopped in Blue Mnt. lake at the 'ol station, to fill our tanks. we left, headed south, towards glens falls. we stopped in Warrensburg at "New Way" and had lunch. this little diner is right on rte 9, and I would recommend if you want to sit down and eat while having a quick lunch. we continued onto glens falls, stopping at Sportline. the temperature in Glens Falls around 1 that day was in the low 70's. We then decided to head back up to Ray Brook, and decided to head towards Fort Ann, and north. This ride was very scenic, had some awesome views. Spring was definitely ahead in Fort Ann and Whitehall, compared to back home in Long Lake. We continued north, stopping in Ticonderoga to fill up. Headed up 9N to E-Town, through the Cascades on Rte 73, and into Lake Placid. The temperature started falling as we rode into the mountains. It was down to the mid 30's by 5 o'clock. we stopped again in Lake Placid at Central Garage, a full service Auto shop and Mobil and filled up again for the last leg of the trip. We headed out towards Ray Brook, where Pat turned into his driveway, and I headed home to Long Lake. The ride was great, and for the first one of the season, it was hard to top the rest of the riding season.
