Nice route around the lake. You will enjoy a couple of lake views on 378 and 391 but the climax is at the end when crossing the damn on 6. Is best to time it so you hit the end around sunset and enjoy the sunset view by the damn.

If you live on this loop it might be ok but I rode down from laurens, and I would not do it again. Not much view(think I saw the lake twice) and Hwy 76 is full of red lights. the 391 and 378 parts of it were a decent ride but not worth it for me.

I rode this route the first weekend I had my new bike. Took a side step to Dreher Island state park on Lake Murray which makes it a little more interesting. Great camping there but pretty busy with the close proximity to Columbia. Not real scenic but a nice ride.
