This is part of my 4th of July trip. We left the battle gounds in Texas and enjoyed the bridges and ferry. The route is a nice route to see the beaches and swaps. You can still see the divastaion of Rita and junk still washes up on the beaches from Katrina. We had a good ride through here you will pass some alligators along the way some in the water and some on the road. Hope this is helpful.

I have been on this ride from Abbeville to Hwy 27 at Holly Beach. This is a very nice ride. The road had been rebuilt after Rita, was very smooth and my favorite part of this ride.
