This is a 110 mile scenic ride through Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. The beauty of riding in this area are the changes in scenery along the way. The route starts in a populated suburban area, and quickly becomes a ride in the country, and through the mountains. There are a number of historic sites, wineries, and plenty of scenic views along the way as you can see in the pictures below. We took about five hours to make this trip, but would allow for more time if we had stopped to eat somewhere along the way. Crossing the Potomac River from Maryland into Virginia on the historic Whites Ferry ($2 toll for motorcycles)

There are a number of wineries along Route 7 in Virginia
There are a lot of sweeping curves when riding in West Virginia back to Maryland. I was too busy enjoying the sweeping curves to stop and take pictures. Sorry about that!
We rode past a number of Civil War sites, including Antietam, the site of the bloodiest one day battle in American history (http://www.nps.gov/anti/)

This is a great day ride, which goes through a number of old communities, and a lot of pretty scenery.

That's all folks!
