Mechanicsville to the Farry and Back

this is a great ride. Nice windy roads and great country side view with some civil war battle fields on the way too. At points the trip opens up to a large road but then goes back to the nice back roads we all love to ride. Take the farry across the river and get back on the road. I love this trip, and mechanicsville makes an excelent place to meet with others to start the trip. For those who want to see some of VA history, check out the battlefields as you come to them they have great bits of the battles. Just a mile or two after you start the trip, if you stop at Coldharbor Battlefeild they have a trail you can ride your bike on that takes you right through the battlefield.
