The Family took a vacation to Seagrove Beach, Florida & I thought to myself, 'Do I really want to ride for 9 hours in a car with not only my screaming kids, but others as well?'. So, I needed to leave a day later anyway & I just rode my Harley to Florida. Pretty good ride from New Johnsonville to Columbia, Tennessee, but after that, it was all Interstate to Montgomery, Alabama. Then it is 45-55 mph roads all the way to the beach. It was pretty neat to go from Farmland in L.A. (lower Alabama) to palm trees & pelicans in Florida. Not that this is a scenic ride to choose for a there & back two day trip, but it sure made my trip a lot more peaceful.Plus, when you get in Florida, you can take that helmet off & cruise the beach strip. That was pretty cool. All in all, there & back with several 20 mile one way trips to Panama City......1171 miles on my bike in 5 days. I had a blast!
