Specifically, the Route along 108 passed the Mindoro Cut was a blast to ride! Once we crested the top at the cut the downhill was extrememly twisty and fast if you didn't get stuck behind anyone. There's a little sign at the cut listing its historic significance, and also makes a good place to walk a bit if this is part of a longer trip.

I keep going back and riding these 4 or 5 counties in SW Wisconsin as it is like it was laid out with motorcyclists in mind. This is geologically called the Driftless Area. 10,000 years ago the last glaciers missed this corner of WI, MN and Iowa and left a nicely eroded landscape with ridges, valleys, coulees and bluffs. Then a system of paved roads was haphazardly scattered across them. It reminds me of the Shire of the Hobbits from Lord of the Rings. Very bucolic and scenic.

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
