The Mohawk trail is very hilly and twisty, going from Greenfield in my opinion is the best going up hill during the twisties. Route 9 out of Bennington Vt is a good trip too. All roads were in great condition, just west of North Adams the road was scrapped of it's pavement, looks like it'll have new black top soon.Had lunch at Madison brew pub, try the pale ale nice and hoppy.

First of all this was a great day weather wise...there is a lot of gorgeous scenery along the entire route. The Mohawk Trail is nice and curvy. At the hairpin turn in North Adams is a great place to stop and at least rest, called the Golden Eagle Cafe. We did not eat there, but the smells were great, the veiw was incredible, took a few photos, chatted with some other bikers and then back on our way. North Adams is like a mini city type drive, Williamstown a College town and then North onto rte 7 you open it up for some nice cruising until you get into Bennington. Bennington is a great little eclectic VT town/city, with lots to look at, and a great place to walk if your legs need a stretch. Once we got back onto rte 9 east, we stopped in Wilmington at a place called WaHoos for an ice cream...which is not their specialty...not that it wasn't great ice cream, but these guys have an incredibly yummy menu with some great burgers...we had been there once or twice before in this season but not from this direction....then back into Brattleboro an home! Great ride!

Loading the motorcycle route...
The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
