This is only about 650 KM and about 10 t o12 hours of driving.
Could be done in a weekend. The idea is really to visit at the same time.
Start off anywhere close to Montreal. If you are from out of town, ride in and stay a day in Montreal, it is a great city with lots of restaurants, bars, clubs, historical sites and much more. From there head of to Sorel so you can take the ferry across. It's not expensive, takes about 15 to 20 minutes and it's fun.
After the ferry, stop in at Trois Riviere and head to the main street for lunch. Great small downtown with a main drag with restaurant where you can eat outside.
After lunch head for Quebec city, but use the old highway (Chemin du Roi). It's very pretty with old houses along the way.
Once in Quebec a couple of hours away, plan to stay and visit. It is the french Capital of North America. Awesome place to visit. The people are very friendly.
You could easily stay 2 days to see the sites.
After Quebec city drive down to Beauceville and Saint George. Here you will travel on great winding roads with some of the most beautiful landscape in the Province.
We fell in love with Saint George and stayed 2 nights, but you can easily drive thru and keep going. While in the region, stop by Thetford Mines and check out...well the mines. It's an amazing site.
The rest of the way is up to you, but it's mainly small towns as you come back to Montreal. You can take the smaller roads or head back towards Highway 20 and make t back faster.
