Start near the Beau Rivage Casino on the Beach in Biloxi, Go North on I110 over the Beautiful Back Bay of Biloxi to HWY 15, take right on HWY 15 and head north. You will travel through tall Mississippi Long Leaf pines in Desoto National Forest. Very light traffic on HWY 15 with many side forest roads to stop and stretch your legs. Once you reach Hwy 26 take a right and go about 10 miles to Benndale, good snacks and Gas is available at the Grocery on the crossroads. Take HWY 57 South, there is a beautiful scenic stop at an old iron bridge which crosses black creek. A boat ramp allows you to turn off to left side of bridge and stop for photos or stretch your legs. HWY 57 also travels through the Desoto National Forest and leads you to Vancleave MS where there are several gas stations and small eateries. About 10 more miles down HWY 57 you will find the world famous Shed Barbecue joint on the right side of HWY 57 just before you reach I10. You can take I 10 east or west to your home but I recommend going on down to HWY 90 and travel right to Ocean Springs for many eateries, bars, etc in the old part of town. McElroys on the Bayou on HWY 90 offers good seafood and excellent Breakfast, coupled with the scenery its a winning combination. Quick jaunt across the Ocean Springs bridge on HWY 90 and you travel along the Beach and Ocean front in East Biloxi arriving back on Casino row and the Beau Rivage. The round trip is approximately 100 miles. In the fall there are ample hardwoods mixed with the pine to offer beautiful color accented by the smell of pine.
