Myrtle Beach/Southport Ferry/Wilmington

- Ride Time: 1 day

I am a female rider that took this trip with pre-teen son. We so enjoyed the ferry and all the history included in this trip. If you are a big sightseer or history buff give yourself plenty of time. The hwy up the coast looks like Myrtle beach maybe 50 years ago.

JUST DID THIS RIDE FOUR DAYS AGO AND IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST RIDES I HAVE DONE. MY WIFE AND I REALLY ENJOYED ALL OF THE SCENERY AND NEAT HISTORICAL STUFF ALONG THE WAY. THERE WAS ALSO TWO HARLEY SHOPS ON THIS ROUTE THAT WERE BOTH AWESOME. THE FERRY RIDE WAS GREAT AND THE FOOD AT THE FISHY FISHY CAFE IN SOUTHPORT WAS REALLY GOOD. THANKS FOR RECOMMENDING THIS RIDE. HOPE OTHERS WILL TRY IT AS WELL.

I took this route with 4 friends. We stopped in Wilmington and ate lunch at a local restaurant. The ride was great. Going to do it again very soon. The ferry ride was a refresher and eased the tired butt. The ferry boat doesn't take credit cards so have some money with you. It was $5 per motorcycle. You will not be disappointed.

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
