Some of the best riding is in the route from HWY 100 (have breakfast at The Loveless Cafe) to the Alabama state line. Pack a lunch and enjoy the ride.As you travel down the route, be sure to stop off at some of the great hiking trails and camp out if you've got the time. There are rest areas galore along the way, too. If you need gas, I suggest using some of the exits to little towns along the way. Some are pretty far off the Trace, so, be conservative with gas.The Natchez Trace Parkway goes 444 miles from Nashville, Tennessee to Natchez, Mississippi. It is a national park road and is only 2 lanes. Beware that speeding will get you a substantial ticket.

I have ridden the entire Natchez Trace, it is scenic but 45mph speed limit on a road that has a lotof loooonnggggggg straight sections can get boring. And don't think you can get away with a little over 45mph, said the nice ranger who stopped me!
There are 35mph & 45mph sections on the Trace. Although the "normal" speed is 50mph.

The Natchez Trace is a great ride, no matter where you start or end. I’ve ridden most of it from south of Nashville to Jackson Mississippi. I haven’t ridden the Trace below Jackson but plan too. It is a national park and the 50 MPH speed limit is enforced but if you enjoy nature, history and exploring interesting little towns and villages along the way, the Natchez Trace is a great adventure.

Good road to ride. Best part is from Tupelo to Nashville. Also, recently it has been patroled with vigor. The fine is 100 dollars for every mile over the speed limit. It is also a federal citation, and it is a hassle to get your drivers license back.

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
