NE GA mountain trip day 1

we took this trip May 12-15, 2011. the weather was great temp wise but off and on showers were a small bother. we went to the georgia guidestones and the lake hartwell dam the first night. had breakfast at dairy queen in hartwell on friday morn (its awesome) then left for cleveland, ga to visit the cabbage patch kid babyland general hospital. our wives loved it, but we almost had to give up our man cards because of that stop. LOL. went from there to helen, ga, a german style town. ate at jordano's pizza for lunch. open air on the river. awesome pizza, but a little pricey. visited a few stores. chatahoochee biker gear is worht a visit. very nice people there. went to our hotel room to get out of the rain. an hour or so later went to nacoochee grill for dinner. the BEST steak i've ever had. nice place. road back into cleveland to walmart then to the hotel for the night. stayed at the best western in helen. they were VERY nice to us. they allowed us to park our bikes under the canopy so they wouldn't be hurt in the event of major storms.
