Great backroad run out to Gettysburg. Spend the day exploring Gettysburg and the surrounding areas, This would be a long round trip run for a day, but I have done it. My personal recommendation, Enjoy your day, and head back to Codurus State Park to camp for the night. The park offers plenty of hiking and water sport activities.Roads are higher speeds, 45-55 mph and take you through some beautiful rural areas.

Great ride, we spend a night in Hanover and then road to Gettysburg. A long ride so be prepared.
Nice country side roads with curves. One of the interesting parts of the road is going over a bridge on highway 1. I tried to fallow the route down to every turn and got lost several times. This road has some hidden signs.
Codorus state park was worth seeing by its self. There was a big lake a lot of trees. We took the riding tour of the Gettysburg battle filed. You can get a CD and listen to all the points of interest. There is no need to get on a bus if you have your motorcycle. On the way back we got lost, but quickly found our way to 15 North and back to Hanover.
I should also mention 616. On the way back you can take a different route. We took 30 and up to 234 and down 616. It was one of the most breath taking roads of the whole trip. It’s a very relaxing ride. I had a great time.

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
