This ride follows the Lassen Volcanic Scenic Highway. We did this ride in mid July. Watch for deer along the way. Be sure to eat at JJ's at Old Station near the northern entrance to Lassen Park. Everything is homemade. The ride up Lassen Peak is spectacular. Check out the park's Museum (watch the video too). Unfortunately, the pass was still partially closed due to heavy winter snows this year. We stayed overnight at Mount Shasta City and rode up Mount Shasta summit to Bunny Flats the next morning. The rest of the summit was closed due to heavy snows. The ride was breath-taking! We visited beautiful Burney Falls Memorial State Park. It was pretty crowded on a Saturday, but still worth the stop.
