Here is just 1 combination of state roads totaling about 140 miles and can be done in 4 to 4 1/2 hours, that does include 2 or 3 stops.Route 254 out of Thomaston is allways a blast, it's like climbing out of th valley. Route 118,63 and 4 we all know. Now 272 is cool, routes 44,41,4(again) and 7 all good riding. Route 45 is nice toward the end you can even detour around Lake Waramaug. 45 lets you out onto 202 take a right to pick up 109. 109 is pure fun about 3 1/2 miles in you get to the third and best of these drop and climb twists. From 109 you take 47 I love not having to put my feet down, to 6 to 64. Traffic is what it is on the main roads but, roads like 45 or 109 or 47 are usually pretty light most of the time. There is plenty of places to stop for fuel, pictures or food.
