A fun ride with easy curves and a few 90 degree turns. Terrain is is both hilly and flat along the route. Passes Wyandott cave and a beautiful river overlook in Leavenworth, IN. Be sure to stop at the quaint little gas station in Derby, IN. Wonderful people and real old time general store atmosphere to the place. Plus there's a nice riverside park right across the road with shelter. Kentucky side is sparse for accomodations so make sure you gas up before you get on KY 144.

Good route with some great scenery. Loved the route on 66 plenty of turns from lazy to sharp 90 degree and more. Once on 144 the route becomes boring with a lot of small towns, traffic, and fields. The only reason I do not give it a five is the last half on 144. THe first half is outstanding and worth the ride. I suggest that you ride from Bardstown south and then ride the same route back up.
