When you get to Aurora, take 50 to 275/KY. Take the petersburg exit and follow 18 down to Rabbit Hash. Then take 338 to 42 down to Carrolton. Cross the bridge back to Madison. Then you would have yourself a FULL day ride.

We usually make this ride two or three times a year and just did it today (6-1-11). Great ride with all types of curves and vistas of the river. We usually ride from Madison, IN to Aurora IN as we did today. You leave Madison on IN 56 and get IN 156 @ Vevay. 156 follows the river while 56 climbs out of the river valley and takes you through farmland. The roads meet again @ Rising Sun where you take 56 which again follows the river to Aurora. A few places we like to eat on this ride are: Shipley's & Key West Shrimp House in Madison, The Courtyard in Rising Sun, & Applewood in Aurora. Good food at all and unique places to eat. A beautiful ride any time of year!
