The Ohio River, Wayne National Forest and the George Custer Monument in New Rumley are among the sites you'll see on this cruise. Starting in Portage County, head east on OH 14 until you hit East Liverpool. Follow OH 7 south all the way to Marietta. Marietta is a great river city and is very charming. The next day, follow OH 26 out of Marietta through the Wayne National Forest. Beautiful rolling hills and luscious farmland will accompany your 48-mile journey through the forest. As you exit the park, you enter Woodsfield, the seat of Monroe County. From here, pick up OH 800 north until you reach OH 799. The Custer Monument is done by the Ohio Historical Society and is worth the visit. The view from the monument is among the most beautful in Ohio. From there, return north through Scio, Minerva and Alliance as you return to Portage County.
