Riding the Olympic Peninsula loop is a real treat. While it's possible to ride the loop in a day, it's best to devote a full weekend to the trip. The loop mainly follows US101 most of the way but there are numerous diversions that you will not want to miss. I'll mention just a few of the highlights. First is the Hurricane Ridge area south of Port Angeles. The road to the Ridge is very entertaining and the views of the Olympic Mountains are spectacular. Another good side road is WA112/113 which goes to Neah Bay. The Hoh Rain Forest lies along the western side of the loop and the ride into that area is simply amazing. There are several state parks along the Pacific coast that will give you the opportunity to walk on the beach, have a picnic or take some snapshots of the coastal formations.

This is a motorcycle ride in the state of Washington. This motorcycle route has 10 scenery characteristics and other road conditions to help you plan your road trip. This motorcycle map was created by gizmo in February. Click here to see other Motorcycle Roads by gizmo

I did this ride in the rain and did it in a day so I did not get to see all the hot spots. I did like the ride I had fun. I would take the ferry over next time I live closer to seattle. Other than that this ride does rock!!!

This is a pretty nice ride. Especially along Lake Crescent and the eastern leg of the trip. I rode it in a day (didn't get any of the side trips in) and plan on doing it again this weekend... again in a day. It's a long ride for a day - but worth it.
