oswald dome run

this route takes you on , in my opion, the most scenic route in north ga.SR60 from turners corner to morganton. this is truly a great ride.take it (60 becomes 68 once ya cross into tenn.) to US64w to oswald dome rd. on top of oswald dome is an old confederate camp. there's a couple of rocks up there with some carving on 'em. gives regiment number and names of some fellows that died from wounds from some skirmish, it's hard to read but you can make most of it out. worth seeing. the ride up there is worth seeing as well, lots of twist, and some serious elevation changes. chilhowee campground is up there on the dome. nice c/g with new facilities. head on up to telico plains tn.and hit the skyway over to US129n. ride the dragon to deals gap then turn around and do it going the other way.

take SR28 to highlands then US64east to SR107south. this will take you to cherry hill c/g in the sumter nat. forest near walhalla sc
everyone knows what great rides the skyway and dragon are but if you get the chance to ride fom turners corner to the dome you will want to do it again. and combining the three into one weekend, well lets just say 'it don't get much better than that'.
