this run takes you through some serious farmland lots of long straight stretches.crossing from the mainland to the outerbanx theres a 5 mile bridge. once on the outerbanx theres only a couple choice of which way to go north or south.

Don't really understand this ride. Some additional description would be nice since you went to the trouble to actually ride it. A much nicer ride after Washington would be to take the souhern route of SR 99 & US 264 & then back on US 64. Also don't understand going back to Greenwood, where ride starts, before taking I-26 & I-85 north thru Charlotte. Not great interste rides even for NC. Just sayin'!!

i know its strange but was doin a US64 run from nags head to teec nos pos az. and it got interupted. so i doubled back,camped at badin lake and picked up 64 in asheboro nc. i tried to stick to the old 64 as much as possible but goin through places like raleigh and tulsa i'd bypass that mess.
i thought about that route felon suggested and i'm sure it would've been a better route. seeing how i was heading west on 64 anyway. but sometimes i don't appear to be too smart.
