Thunderstorms caught up with us on Day #4, so we hung around til the heavy stuff passed. Took 7 N out of Hot Springs. Beautiful ride.Stopped at Nimrod Lake Dam for a breather. East on 10 at Ola to 155 N to Petit Jean state park. Will return to spend more time here on next trip, gorgeous park. W on 154 to 7, then North to Russellville. Ate at Stoby's (converted railroad diner car) good meal, reasonable prices. Stayed at a Fairfield Inn on Harrell. OK, but not impressive.

This is a great ride, anytime of the year. Most stunning if rode in the spring when the dogwoods and redbuds are blooming or in the fall when the hardwoods have peaked their color-typically 3rd week of Oct-give or take. There are mul;tiple little side trips off this route that if you have time will stay with you forever.
