They will try to run you over.... really!SAND a thin layer of sugar sand on hard pavement is as dangerous as ice.Low / extra soft shoulders on a lot of these roads if you do have to leave the pavement use caution.Start at South Beach in South Haven MI, try to meet up by 8:30 A.M. We ride at 9:00 ! We will tour through South Haven, north to Saugatuck, to our first brief stop, Holland state park to meet up with area riders. Then north to Grand Haven our second brief stop to pick up additional riders at Grand Haven State Park. Then north through Muskegon, Whitehall (additional riders??) Past Silver Lake Dunes, and into Pentwater for lunch / BS session. After lunch it's easy to hop on to US 31 south for those who need to get home right away. I'll have a slightly different route prepared back to our starting point for those who haven't had enough.
