If the group gets separated the lead group will stop at the first safe location to the right side of the route until we regroup. The lead rider will 'Point out' anything that needs to be avoided please 'Point it out' to the rider behind you.Plan on buying a Daily Michigan state park sticker ($6 resident $8 Non resident) we will be cruising past several parks on the ride. They make a good place to stop and stretch use the restrooms ... GOOD THINGS to look out forBeachesThe Kewantan cruise ship berthed between the towns of Douglas and SaugatuckCentennial park in Holland fountains, flowers, exotic plants ...The LARGE steam locomotive in Grand HavenHeritage landing in MuskegonSilver Lake DunesBAD THINGS to watch out forDeer !!! this area is chock full of stupid whitetail deer. They will run out in front of you... reallyTourists this area is chock full of stupid tourists. They will try to run you over.... really!SAND a thin layer of sugar sand on hard pavement is as dangerous as ice.Low / extra soft shoulders on a lot of these roads if you do have to leave the pavement use caution.Start at South Beach in South Haven MI, try to meet up by 8:30 A.M. We ride at 9:00 ! We will tour through South Haven, north to Saugatuck, to our first brief stop, Holland state park to meet up with area riders. Then north to Grand Haven our second brief stop to pick up additional riders at Grand Haven State Park. Then north through Muskegon, Whitehall (additional riders??) Past Silver Lake Dunes, and into Pentwater for lunch / BS session. After lunch it's easy to hop on to US 31 south for those who need to get home right away. I'll have a slightly different route prepared back to our starting point for those who haven't had enough.
