I have lived on this route(old US Hwy 27) for 22 years and it is a very enjoyable ride. When you get to the top of Pine Mountain(in front of the store) you may go straight down the left side past Callaway Gardens, up over the mountain through FDR state park or around the left side of the mountain. If you elect the more scenic route over the mountain DO NOT TAKE YOUR EYES OFF THE ROAD To enjoy the scenery. A series of curves will have you venturing into the woods or worse.Be especially wary of animals(deer, raccoons, etc). Turn left at the stop sign and take Alt Hwy 27into Warm Springs and enjoy a quaint little southern town full of biker oriented dhops. Enjoy, Dave Jones
