I made a plan with some friends to take this trip on my Birthday as a way of enjoying the day. We started at about 11:00 am and stopped at a few bars along the way to have a drink every now and then(We only had 1 drink at each bar and spent some time there so we wouldn't be overdoing it) and, except for some unplanned detours(which made the ride that much better), we arrived at Starved Rock and enjoyed the scenery there for some time before taking a leisurely cruise back, ending about 7:45 pm. Granted, the trip isn't very long in terms of distance, but for a Saturday cruise with some friends and nothing but free time the whole day, it makes for a very beautiful ride with some nice changes in scenery along the way to keep it interesting. There were a few sharp turns(a big one by a cemetery, I don't know if I got in in the mapped route) but other than that, nothing dangerous to speak of.

As you get closer to Marseilles, there is one spot coming out of the hills that has a very quick stop sign at the bottom of a steep hill. We didn't see it until the last moment and there is no stop sign for the cross traffic at the bottom.

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
