Beautiful mountains, pines, rivers, lakes, ranches, cute mini towns. This ride is a nice short getaway from the crazy city life. Traffic is minimal. Love that pine tree scent. Be sure to take a camera. There's a great Mexican restaurant (Los Dos Hermanos) in Sierraville we like to stop at. Excellent food and fast service. Also at Sierraville is the Sierra Hot Springs (aka Campbell Hot Springs). It is a resort and retreat on Lemon Canyon Road. It has the most amazing hot springs pool and lodge. It's $15.00 per person for a 3 hour soak. Clothing is optional and dressing rooms are co-ed. If you're not comfortable seeing other folks in their birthday suits this is not the place for you! The road from the highway is maintained gravel. See their website for more information (www.sierrahotsprings.org/intro.htm).You can expand this ride by taking Highway 89 south from Sierraville into the historic town of Truckee and then back to Reno via Interstate 80 along the Truckee River.Ride On!

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
