Leaving Port Vincent head east on Hwy 16 until you meet hwy 22. Hwy 22 is curvy, follows a bayou and very scenic. I choose to run the interstate to bypass the cities on the north shore and to gain some time for the return trip from Ocean Springs.
the road along the coast is very nice. Lots to see, ocean breeze blowing in from the Gulf, lots of houses not yet repaired from hurricanes. Nice easy ride until you get to New Orleans, You can stay on Hwy 190 and that all the way through New Orleans, but I choose the interstate as it much faster. Hwy 190 is a 4 lane hwy but is slow, boring, and very straight.
