At the start, you'll wind around the rocky bluffs and descend in altitude. We saw a few free range cows (I know, right?) but, once you come back down to earth, the desert keeps you at a nice pace with sunshine & dry roads. When you finally accept that you're the only human left, you'll come upon this little diner, on your right, with excellent biscuits & gravy, you must stop in! Coming into California, there's an endless view of giant windmills on the horizon and other traffic joins you en-route. Ultimately, you'll land in San Clemente, where you can pick up the Pacific Coast Hwy & travel north to Los Angeles, where we moseyed down Hollywood Blvd & cruised through Rodeo Drive and up to Griffith Observatory (Hollywood Sign), stop at El Coyote Cafe on Beverly Blvd for the best buffalo tacos you'll ever eat but don't stay in LA too long if you're not a fan of the touristy stuff.
