This ride is an enjoyable ride along some of great country roads. Youwill be riding some of the most popular rodes in Pasco and Hernandocounties. You will pass through the Town of Center Hill where you willride down one the most beautiful oak canopy roads in all centralFlorida. From there you get to enjoy the roads around Howie in theHills. This town has some wonderful rolling hills that will make youbelieve you have left Florida. You will sweep around Little Lake Harrisand then head east along the north side of Lake Apopka into the town ofZellwood.Every year Zellwood has it's corn festival in the spring. Thisis one event you have to try, the best corn you ever ate. You will ridejust outside the city of Apopka but now you will be along the southedge of Lake Apopka heading towards Winter Gardens.
Winter Gardens has been completely redone downtown. They have done agreat job bring life back to downtown without loosing the history ofthe town. Years ago you would not slow down in your locked car, buttoday it's amazing how it looks. If you didn't know the past it wouldbe hard to understand it today. Stop in at the historical EdgewaterHotel in the center of town. It has some amazing history behind it thatwas brought to my attention from one of the riders in our group. Whenyou head out of town going west you will pass through the town ofOakland where Grandfather oak trees run down the center of the road. This trees cover both sides of the road they are so big and beautiful.
