This is a nice ride along SC11 down to Walhalla. Stop in at the Steakhouse Cafe for lunch. They will fill you up on some good down home style cooking. Bet you don't have much room for desert either. This ride will run you along the foothills of the mountains with some great views for your passenger to enjoy. This road will keep your eyes on the road at times, but still gives you tine to enjoy it views.
Heading up 28 will keep you a little more busy with the nice curves in the road. To bad it does continue because you will turn off to the right to get to Stumphouse Tunnel. Slow down going down this road, it twists tight in places and the on coming traffic is drifting to your lane most the time.
Once there you can enjoy the tunnel (did I tell you to bring a good flashlight-bring two). Walk back into the tunnel with your light, all the way to the end, turn off all the lights, can't see your own hand can ya! The temp stays around 50 degrees year round (great for that hot day). While you are there walk over to the falls at the other end of the parking area. This is enjoyable.

Hwy 11 is a great road for riding. Just west of the intersection of Hwy 8 on the north side ot the road is an excellent stop called Aunt Sue's. There are many souvenire shops there and some great home made ice cream.
There are bats in the tunnel. Make sure you have a good flashlight and a spare.

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
