Route 66 through Missouri is difficult to follow but worth the effort. California 1 along the coast is very curvey and takes a lot longer than you expect so plan extra time for this area.

I understand your grief. I have never attempted all at once but have ridden parts several times. More and more times new construction of highways are making the retrace impossible. Too many miles gone forever.

Route 66 can be really dicey and there are chunks that you can't ride. It was the most difficult in Missouri. Illinois, Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and New Mexico were pretty easy to find what was left of the old road.

I do have pictures but had trouble loaded them -- added them to my Page.

Very cool - were you able to follow Rt 66 the whole way? I've heard that big chunks of the original can get pretty sketchy from a road perspective.

Got any pics?

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
