First off, I could not get the map to show the rout back to 95. I was having 'technical difficulties.' You just continue straight.
I ride this all the time; you will see other riders all the time. I rode the route this morning. I got to the start point around 9:00 and did not get stuck behind anyone. I recommend, if you want to go fast, ride in the morning and go the direct I planned out. there is the least traffic this way.
Now, about the roads themselves, the beginning (joplin road) is tight and hilly. the road is in decent condition. There is just some patchwork. Lots of tree cover and lots of bugs. there will be two corners that pop up after the apex of a hill and one tight radius near the end. Take a left at the stop sign. now begins faster smoother turns and slight hills.
Shortly after you start this part of the ride you will come to another stop sign. Take a left here and you will continue all the way back to I-95. you will be riding under tree cover, through open fields, and past farmlands. I have even seen people riding horses on the side of the road. Anyway, there is a bridge over a ditch or small creek and there will be a yield sign after it. this is a hard right turn. 10-15 MPH It snuck up on me my first time.
Bottom Line:
This is a fun short ride.

I took advantage of the great New Years' weather in Virginia to take this ride. Great! I started on Garrisonville road near I-95. The first part, Garrisonville road to Aden, is scenic with easy curves. The second part, from Aden to the 95, is the roller coaster part. with most of the leaves gone for the winter, spotted sunlight made taking several of the corners hard to deal with. Can't wait to do it again in the Spring when the leaves come back in!

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
