This is a very scenic ride centered on Western Mass and eastern NY. I finished it off with some nice BBQ at Dinosaur BBQ in Troy, NY. This makes for a nice lunch break and gives you some options for the return ride (I-787s to I-90 OR NY 7 east to US 7) Whatever you choice, this is a great ride that you can do in 4, 6 or even 10 hours of nice easy scenic touring on a beautiful day. The route takes you through portions of the Berkshires in MA and the roadway passes through state forests, farmland, small towns and into city riding. I did not find any 'bombed out' roads and there are certainly some very picturesqe areas along this 'technically easy' route
