Just a short little loop when your looking to kill an hour. Essentially running the Loess Hills Scenic By-way from Council Bluffs south to Glenwood, IA...across the bridge and back up through South Omaha.

If you have time, there are a couple of loops of the main by-way which are marked with signs. Most of them in this area are gravel roads so I avoid those. But if you have time, explore :-) I've found most of the loops add about 30-45 minutes. Most of the really good ones I've found are south of Glenwood or north of Missouri Valley.

If you are a fan of small towns, then recommend spending a little time checking out Glenwood...seems like a nice sleepy town. Across the river, Plattsmouth has a historic downtown.
