Rode to El Paso then to Guadalupe Pass. Stopped at the Guadalupe Pass National Park to see the tallest peak in Texas. Proceeded on to Carlsbad, NM. Ride north of Carlsbad on Highway 285 about 11 miles. Turn West on Highway 37, Queens Road, about 35 miles. First 10 miles typical flat desert. After that the canyon continues to deepen and get more twisty and senic. The Falls is a sight to behold. This year has been rainer than average making the desert greener & the 130 foot Falls spectacular. Then rode north to Artesia & West thru Cloudcroft. The mountains are also absolutley beautiful. A very enjoyable ride.

from el paso to carlsbad is a 150 mile stretch, with no gas stations, so 95 mph the whole way doesnt work out to good
