We stayed at Skyline Village Inn. They cater to motorcyclists and were really friendly. This loop is really curvy and a lot of fun!

The road surface on 226A portion of the loop has been redone as of late 2014. Road surface is excellent!
226A is a really great ride. 226 (not A) has a lot more traffic and a lot less turns.

This is a great ride, especially if you want to do an overnight stay in Little Switzerland. The Little Switzerland Inn has a lodge that they dedicate to motorcyclist for a very reasonable rate. They have covered parking too. If you want to spice up this ride, take Hwy 80 off of Blue Ridge Parkway and it will tie back into the Skyline Bootlegger Loop. Hwy 80 has a lot of curves similar to those found at the Tail of the Dragon. It's a great spot with very little traffic. Enjoy
