This is a windy back road loop starting in North Haven going down to the coast Rte 146 (Branford, Guilford) avoiding I95 and the part of I91 south of exit 10. It's a good ride for after work if you live near the route. At the end of Rte 40 zoom in on the map to see the specific roads. I had to figure it out on a map and learn it. You are making your way to Totoket Road which leads into Branford. If you miss a turn you hopefully would hit Rte 80 and find your way back over to Totoket. Watch out on the Totoket hairpin turn which is off camber (mostly a psychological issue). I go left on Ivy St before I95 -- but straight on cedar into Branford Ctr can get you to 146 as well. This 146 is a popular bike route as is 77N to Durham from Guilford. Zoom in on the map to see the details. I hope you like it. It's leisurely back road ride with good scenery. I saw a biker pulled over on 146 so watch the speed. Side trip down to Thimble Island road is shown for a short side trip. Hope you like it.
