This is a pretty rural ride to Crystal River and the Port Hotel and Marina. The place has everything, hotel, lounge, boat rentals, and sits on the main spring for the Homosassa River. You can actually get to see Manatee right from the docks.
This is a nice 1/2 day ride just to have lunch overlooking the river, but you can easily make a day out of it with a swim or Manatee watch/swim.
