Starting in West Tennessee, just add the distance to Dyerburg from your starting location and add that to the time. This is an 8 hour loop with sight seeing and dinner thrown in. Going through Trenton Bradford and Greenfileld takes you off the main road and gives you a chance to cruse around 50 mph, or as trafic allows. The rolling hills with curved areas give you a chance to enjoy the rolling country side. Following this route will get you around Dresden and into Paris, Tn on through to the Lakes. Anywhere on the East side of Paris stop and gas up before you cross Kentucky Lake as Gas stations are non-existant while in Land Between the Lakes (LBL). You will cross Kentucky Lake via Paris Landing State Park and Marina. There you will find the marina, a public park overlooking the marina and the Paris Landing Resort which has an excellent Buffet (call to find out details).Once you cross into LBL watch for the First Park entrance a few miles up the hill from the lake. A left onto Fort Henry Rd. takes you into the Park. It's 45 mph on most secondary roads and 50 mph on the Trace which runs Noth and South the length of LBL. Be prepared for winding curves, overhanging trees and some history. You go north where you pass the Old Furnace, the historic settlement, the buffalo range (you might get to see the herd up close) while crossing into Kentucky which is a no helmet state. You can stop at the the visitor center called Golden Pond for a break, a gift shop , and a museum. Leaving out of Golden Pond you go North and circle up and aroud energy lake and the Wildlife Observation area. You will see Deer, and turkey on every outing. Once you make the loop its time to head to Murray Kentucky via old 94. Head back south on the Trace until you hit State Hwy 68. Take a right up the ramp and head West back across Kentucky Lake. On the otherside at the top of the hill you will take a left. After you pass the second entrance to Kenlake State Resort Park you will take a left onto old 94 (if you like an overnight stay at the resort it's not out of the question. You have the choice of the resort or any of thier cabins. Folowing old 94 will take you into Murray Kentucky. Home of Murray State University and the famous Big Apple Cafe. Bar, band on weekends, and the Large Bean Roll (Burito) smothered in cheese. There is also an old Traditional Pizzarea Called Pagliai's which can seat several hundred and has a huge buffet which is open on Sundays also. Once you get your fill of beverages and a bean role it's time to head home taking hwy 94 to fulton Kentucky where you can get back on the parkway south. Next stop is Union City home of Abernathy's Harley Dealership and the last leg of the trip back to Dyersburg. You will see alot of bikers on this route especially from Paris through LBL and back.
