This was the first route I had planned for a Poker Run thru 5 campgrounds in western CT,
I am going to start the directions off from Rte 44 in Winsted, you can stay on 44 heading west or pick up Rte 263.
Take Rte 263 until you hit Rte 272.
Go right on Rte 272 this will run you back to Rte 44.
Hang a left on Rte 44 and run this ubtil you hit Rte 7,
Head south on Rte 7, take this all the way down to Rte 4.
On Rte 4 ride this until you hit Rte 63. I have mapped out a right on Milton Rd.
Milton will turn in Maple. Either way you end up on Rte 202.
Bang a right onto Rte 202 then a left onto Rte 209.
Run Rte 209 to Rte 109
On Rte 109 run this into Thomaston to Rte 6.
Take a left onto Rte 6 at the fork at the gas station it doesn't matter when the road ends take a right.
Go passsed and under Route 8, go over the bridge to Waterbury Road.
Run Waterbury Road until you come to Rte 262 at Riders take a left.
Ride Rte 262 to Rte 6, take a left back into Thomaston.
When you get back into Thomaston, take a righ onto North Main Street.
This is at the white Gazebo at the church, now you are on Rte 222.
Follow Rte 222 all the way to Rte 4
Welcoma back to Rte 4 head east until it ends at Rte 179.
Take a left onto Rte 179 ride this all the way to Rte 219. Now you can shorten this up when you hit Rte 44 again.
From Rte 219 take a right onto Rte 318.
Rte 318 will take you back to Rte 44, take a right and you will be back in Winstead shortly, or
Take a nice 5 mile putt down East or West Road. This will bring you out onto Rte 20.
Take a left run it to Rte 8.
Take another left and it's back to Rte 44 at the green in Winstead.
No pic's, but there are plenty of places to stop and enjoy.
