This was the first real road trip for my wife and I. We traveled two lane roads because we wanted to see real sites and not interstate. We planned to ride each day and not hurry to each stop. Our first day took us from Cochran Ga to Cedar Key Florida where we stayed overnight at the Cedar Key bed and breakfast.I reccomend this bed and breakfast to everyone. The management were great host and provided for our comfort. This was a charming place with a very good breakfast. They also have a number of 'treats' available 24 hrs. a day. My favorite was the bottomless cookie jar. These homemade cookies were good. We had dinner at Tony's sea food resturant. No complants! Thanksgiving day we road to Sanibel. This was a terrific ride. We had traveled in the rain all day Wednesday so Thursday was welcome. The temperture was a little chilly to start but warmed up.The trip across the causeway was a neat experence for us. We spent two days on Sanibel staying at the Blue Dolphine on the beach and made a vist to Captiva as well.My favorite meal was at Doc Ford's bar and grill. Saturday we left Sanibel under overcast skys and cool conditions. We had a good ride up to Crystal River and Stayed at a town called Inglis at the Pine Lodge. The owners of Pine lodge made you feel at home and served a very good breakfast. The pine Lodge has always been a boarding house. It first opened in the 30's and when the lady that owned it passed away her daughters kept it open as a brothel. Elvis is the local hero here having made a movie near here. Sunday we headed home. This was the best riding weather we had on this trip (isn't this always the way it goes). we arrived home around 5pm and had traveled 1127 miles on our bikes. I ride an '09 Road King and my wife rides an '09 Deluxe.

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
