What a GREAT route! The twisties in W. Va and Va. hold their own against any I've heard of, including Deals Gap! It's not crowded nor touristy. Adequate in gas and still out of the way. There is still some highway driving and divided lane main roads, but it's at a minimum. Once into Virginia (God's country),it passes thru a part of George Washington Nat. Forest which will make you be on the lookout for prehistoric life. It also crosses Skyline Drive in the Shanendoah Nat.Park which allows you a side ride if you don't mind the 45mph speed limit there. Campgrounds in that area there are a nice opportunity to stay the night if you want to split the trip, or if you started late in the day. This is my route home to where I grew up and to see me mama. It's also a nice route to take if you're coming from the Mi.,Oh.,Indiana area on your way to the southern Right Coast. (Also God's country)

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
