The Snake

489 curves in 33 miles, 3 valleys, and 1 mountain. The curves vary in degree from very tight switchbacks to quick small turns. Many of the curves are loose enough to keep your speed up without having to lean so hard that you scrape the road but they come so quickly that you feel like you are weaving in and out of traffic. Lots of terrain changes and beautiful scenery. Make sure you stop in Shady Valley to collect your patches at the general store. Our group had so much fun on this road, that we rode it in reverse the next day. This is, by far, my most favorite ride.
