This is a great ride. It is truly a trip to Hell's Gate. Where the route ends you can park your bike and hike over the cliffs to the gate. Mind you the cliffs are 60-80 feet off the water. No rails or stairs, just rocks. But well worth the effort. Two great places to eat on this trip are Mary's Brazos Cafe on Tin Top Road, and The Palo Pinto Cafe in Palo Pinto. Another great thing about this trip is if you want to get back to Fort Worth in a hurry you can just take 180 East all the way back to Weatherford and catch 20 East. You will be back at the Stockyards bars in about an hour and a half.enjoy...

Very nice ride but have to add in order to find W. Hell's Gate drive you have to turn left @ Sportsman's World off 16. We passed it the first time & went all the way to Graham for a gas station for directions back, but all worth it

Really nice ride. Took longer than we thought coming from farther north. So we didn't make it all the way, but so nice. Can't wait for the next ride!

This is a nice ride, but you cannot get to Hell's Gate from here. It is private property. There was a sheriff at the Hell's Gate road that turned us away or we would have ridden on in anyway. The cop said if we wanted to see Hell's Gate, to get a boat.

Finally we made the time to take this ride, the scenery is great but the Hell's Gate road is now private and gated so I stop at the gas station to ask and they told me now the only access to Hell's Gates is by water, we continued on route 16 going north and still had a great ride

Great ride we have made it several times. The best ride in the area is Hwy 4 from I-20 to Palo Pinto. Check it out.
