After nearly 20 years, we've decided to close our doors on August 11th and pursue our next grand adventure. The growth of this site and community surpassed our wildest expectations. A buddy and I wanted to take a day ride to enjoy the fall weather here in the midwest. I had just bought a Zumo 550 gps and wanted to try it out. So we planned a trip that takes you down the scenic highway of K-4 through Dover and to Eskridge. The trip was planned to stop and eat lunch at a small cafe in Allen, ks. So from Eskridge you go out west on K-99 and routes you down to Council Grove and over the damn. You then head back to the east to Allen, Ks and eat at a great little cafe called Main Street Pub and Grill (408 Main Street on the east side of the road). They have great food and ice cold tea. From there you go back to highway US-56 and travel east through Burlingame and Scraton. By this point you are heading back to Topeka. I chose to travel back up the old 75 highway and then out through the country roads and then you end up at the Billard Airport. I hope you enjoy this trip.
