One of my favorite roads when I'm in the area. This road is extremely twisty and you will need to concentrate the whole time. It feels a little like Deal's Gap but much larger. The only time's you get a break from leaning is when you go through some of the smaller mountain towns. A must try!
I've only ridden this section, but by the looks of the map the road looks fun the whole way down.

I've rode this route many times, probably because I'm living in that area, but I never get bored with the ride. This route has the curves, mountains and goes through many quaint little towns and communities plus when you get near Fayetteville, WV on RT 19 you have the world Famous New River Gorge, with a bridge that towers over the Gorge about 900 ft. Rt 60 is the best route when you get into WV following that to RT 19 and then RT 16 south to Princeton and Bluefield. I personally like the back roads and will go out of my way to use them.

Planning on doing this route in 2010. I can say that the remainder of route 16 is really nice - a few places with some gravel here and there, but you essentially cross three mountains getting over to Marion.

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
