When you leave the valley and start up Hwy 70 'Volcanic Legacy Hwy' you will travel thru allot of the most beautiful terrain California has to offer. But fuel in Oroville, next gas youll get is Greenville. Great place to eat in Greenville is Anna's Cafe if you happen to stop. Rivers, trees, tunnels, trains, some twists but not bad. As you start up in elevation you will pass 'Scooters' cafe. Drop in, I hear it's really good. Belden town has a small store as well as Caribou. This trip heads you thru Greenville and around Lake Almanor. At the end is the big decision.. Which way home. 36 to Red Bluff? 32 thru Chico? Or back the way you came? Many possibilities.Working emergency services I will pass on this info. M/C accidents are caused mainly by road debris and deer. Early in the season there is allot of dirt on the road. And deer are trying to jump out at you. Be safe, because unless I see you at the gas station or cafe, don't want to see you.
