Vermillion Cliffs - North Rim of Grand Canyon

Be prepared for a wide range of temperatures during the summer. During the day at the floor of the valley, 4,000', July temperatures can easily get in to the low 100's Fahrenheit. A Camelbak with electrolyte infused water will help avoid dehydration. At 8,000' in the Kaibab National Forest in the July morning, it can be a chilly 50 degrees - you may need an extra layer under your jacket.
