This is a nice little trip if you have a few hours to spare. You start out in reno and then you hop on 395 N for a few min. You then turn off at the Lake Tahoe, Virginia City exit. Once off the freeway you have a few lights before you start the climb to Virginia city. This is where the fun begins. You have some great corners and an awesome view of the valley. Make sure you pay attention to the road though. There is a turn off a little ways up the hill where you can stop and admire the view. When you get to Virginia city there are several good places to stop and if you have time take your time and take in the town. Then you continue on towards silver city, then on to Carson city. In Carson you can stop and take in the scenery. There is the state capitol and several other interesting sights. Then it is pretty much all freeway back to Reno.

This is a motorcycle ride in the state of Nevada. This motorcycle route has 7 scenery characteristics and other road conditions to help you plan your road trip. This motorcycle map was created by lsantiago in August. Click here to see other Motorcycle Roads by lsantiago

Really nice ride. It's a little curvy in the mountains, but nothing too difficult. Stop at the Bucket of Blood Saloon in Virginia City. I took the cut off south of VC and went to Dayton, hit a restroom at the Terrible's Casino, cruised into Carson City and hit the Bully's Sports Bar. On the way back to Reno, cut off on East Lake Boulevard to go around Washoe Lake. You can hit a mellow biker bar, The New Washoe Bar, before you hit 395 north back to Reno. Even with all of those stops it only took about 4 hours.

The best of the best. These folks have ridden and shared more roads than any other ORJ member this month.
